The recognition of a Jewish State is the central plank in the policy that Israel expects the Palestinians and the rest of the world to accept before there can be anything like peace in Palestine. (George Ikners m ikners.com A Joomla site)
Even if the Jewish State were recognised and there is something like a state of Palestine, that state would be nothing more than a geographical location determined by Israel.
But the whole idea that a Jewish State exists is probably the greatest hindrance to any resolution of the conflict in the area. Particularly if you consider that the Jewish State is so heavily reliant on military force and domination to exist.
Anything usually connected to a state would never be allowed to exist. There is an interesting article at Al Jazeera that is well worth reading.
